30 Jul USATF Foundation sending 19 grantees & 7 Run With US! mentors to Moscow
INDIANAPOLIS – Team USA members for the 2013 IAAF World Championships were named today by USATF, and the USA Track & Field Foundation is pleased to announce that 19 grantees and 7 Run With US! mentors will be representing the United States as part of that team, announced Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld today.
The World Championships are being held this year in Moscow, Russia, from August 10 to August 18 at Luzhniki Stadium.
Current and past grant recipients include:

Amanda Bingson (hammer throw)
Ashley Higginson (3000 meter steeplechase)

Run With US! mentors competing in Moscow include Ashton Eaton (decathlon), Queen Harrison (100 meter hurdles), Carmelita Jeter (100 meters), Leo Manzano (1500 meters), Gunnar Nixon (decathlon), Jason Richardson (110 meter hurdles) and Ryan Wilson (110 meter hurdles).
The Foundation Elite Athlete Grant Program contributes to the pursuit of world-class performances by American post-collegiate track and field athletes. Athletes must meet minimum performance and financial need standards to be eligible.
