04 Mar USATF Foundation Promotes Tom Jackovic to CEO, Trixie Saumsiegle to COO
PITTSBURGH – Following its winter board meeting in San Diego last month, the USATF Foundation Board of Directors announced two executive staff promotions: Tom Jackovic has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer and Trixie Saumsiegle to Chief Operating Officer, stated Chairman Bob Greifeld.
Jackovic has been Executive Director since the USATF Foundation’s inception in 2004 and has led all fundraising efforts during his tenure. Over the past several years, the Foundation has consistently increased its support of both youth and elite track and field athletes and teams, highlighted by a record $1.5 million in Foundation grants given in 2018.
Saumsiegle joined the USATF Foundation team in 2014 as the Associate Director of Development and has worked to expand internal systems and business operations while developing the Foundation’s numerous outreach programs to benefit the sport of Track & Field in the U.S. and beyond.
“The USATF Foundation Board is pleased to promote Tom and Trixie for their impactful service and continual progress in getting funding to the elite athletes and youth teams that have made Team USA the best track & field squad on the planet,” said Foundation Director Dan McClory. “It is especially appropriate that they are recognized for their efforts in the leadup to this year’s World Championships in Doha, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the return in 2021 of the World Championships to the USA in Eugene,” McClory concluded.
