31 May The Burgess Family Foundation and USATF Foundation supports Team Boss
NEW YORK CITY – The Burgess Family Foundation in partnership with the USATF Foundation is pleased to announce a $75,000 multiyear grant to Team Boss totaling $300,000, an elite distance running team based out of Crested Butte and Boulder, Colorado. Team Boss currently consists of Emma Coburn, Joe Bosshard, Nick Harris, Emma Bates, Gabbi Jennings, Maddie Alm, Emily Infeld, Aaliyah Miller, Dominique Scott, Scott Fauble, Kate Grace, Aisha Praught-Leer, Cory McGee, Katie Rainsberger and Dani Jones.
John Burgess, the Burgess Family Foundation founder and USATF Foundation Director commented: “Our family foundation is thrilled to support elite distance running in America and Team Boss. We hope our donation will help Team Boss continue the incredibly successful results they have achieved across multiple distance running events. We look forward to working with Joe, Emma and the team to help support their near and long-term goals especially as we enter the 2024 Olympic year.”
After hearing of the multi-year grant Emma Coburn and Joe Bosshard exclaimed: “We are so grateful for the support from The Burgess Family Foundation and the USATF Foundation. As a group that has been self-funded for the last 6 years, this support will help sustain our efforts to have one of the top training groups in the world. With this funding we hope to continue to grow our team and provide more opportunities to athletes. This funding comes at the perfect time heading into the 2024 Olympics and beyond.
