01 Mar Lisa Larson Named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors
PITTSBURGH – Lisa Larson has been named a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation CEO Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.
Lisa Larson is a residential real estate professional at Warburg Realty, one of the oldest and last privately-held luxury real estate brokerages in New York City. Consistently ranked as one of the firm’s top brokers, she has been cited by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and other leading outlets for her industry insights and expertise. She previously was President of SBR Technologies, Inc., a highly-specialized research and development firm focused on solving complex environmental problems and a global leader in the biological treatment of industrial wastewaters.
Lisa holds a Master’s degree in History and was a member of the Division I cross-country and track teams at the University of California, Berkeley. She currently serves on the board of her Carnegie Hill co-op building and previously served on the board of the Convent of the Sacred Heart school in NYC. Her love for the track began at 11 years old in South Bend, Indiana when she joined the boys’ middle school cross-country team because there were not enough girls to field a team of their own. Her passion continued through post-college road racing. Today, Lisa can be found running laps around the Central Park Reservoir as the sun rises.
“It was my dream as young girl to see running be as popular as it is today. I am excited to be part of the USATF Foundation not only to help emerging elite athletes develop and fulfill their potential on the world stage, but especially to support educational initiatives that encourage the youngest of runners, promote character building, and provide opportunities regardless of socio-economic boundaries,” stated Larson.
