Elite Athlete Development Grant Application

Grant Program Purpose: the Foundation seeks to support the pursuit of world-class performances by American post-collegiate track & field athletes who have met minimum performance standards by contributing to their compelling individual financial needs with an Elite Athlete Grant.

Application Eligibility
For an athlete to be considered, an athlete must:
  1. Be a USA citizen and eligible to represent the USA at all levels of international competition.
  2. Have completed college eligibility by the application deadline and/or renounced college eligibility and been declared a professional
  3. Be training for the next World Championships or Olympic Games.
PLEASE NOTE:
  1. A majority of grants will be awarded to athletes who rank "TOP 10 IN THE USA" in their event in either of the past two years and / or are a recent graduate that ranked “TOP 5 IN THE NCAA” standings.
  2. A majority of the grants will be awarded to athletes who have achieved the IAAF world standard.
  3. Financial need will be taken into account, but all athletes are encouraged to apply regardless of their income level.
  4. Criteria may be modified by the USATF Foundation's Board of Directors.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging and experienced elite athletes, along with guidance on future career paths. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors, major gifts, and from generous fans of track & field.

Elite athletes are supported by the Foundation via monetary grants, career counseling (mentoring and jobs) and participation in Run With US!. Youth athletes are supported via monetary grants to youth clubs.
