24 Jan Gerald Donini Named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors
INDIANAPOLIS – Gerald Donini has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.
While pursuing a Brown University Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Mr. Donini was simultaneously establishing his legacy in the track and field world as a shot putter. A few of his many accomplishments include being a two-time IC4A Champion, a two-time New England Champion, as well as a two-time Heps Champion. He remains a Brown University record holder both indoors and outdoors. In recognizing Mr. Donini’s success, he was inducted into the Brown University Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
“Jerry’s passion for track & field and his experience as an accomplished thrower will provide unique insight for our board. We are fortunate to have him,” stated Greifeld.
Mr. Donini, along with his wife, Lisa, reside in Residence Summit, New Jersey. As a family man of five children, he has recently retired from Barclays Corporate and Investment Banking where he held the role of Chief Operating Officer. Before Barclays, Gerald worked in Wall Street finance ever since graduating from Brown in 1986. Adding to his successful career, he has served as a member of two Executive Committees, at both Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.
The Foundation Elite Athlete Grant Program contributes to the pursuit of world-class performances by American post-collegiate track and field athletes. Athletes must meet minimum performance and financial need standards to be eligible.
