01 Nov Burgess Family / USATF Foundation Educational and Vocational Tuition Reimbursement Program
PITTSBURGH –
The USATF Foundation, with a multi-year funding commitment from the Burgess Family Foundation, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Burgess Family / USATF Foundation Educational and Vocational Tuition Reimbursement Program. The Program has been established to provide financial support to USATF Foundation grant award winners who wish to further pursue their educational and vocational learning and training.
John Burgess of the Burgess Family Foundation and a USATF Foundation Board Director commented, “We are excited to establish this program with the USATF Foundation to assist our sponsored athletes as they prepare for life outside of track and field. Given the rapidly changing complexities of today’s workplace, these grants will assist in providing scholarship assistance for further educational and vocational courses and training that will help the recipient athletes be better prepared for life beyond the sport.”
“These grants further the USATF Foundation’s commitment to supporting our elite track & field athletes. The tuition assistance provides a framework for our athletes to plan their futures and be leaders in their communities. We thank the Burgess family for their tremendous generosity,” stated USATF Foundation Chairman Bob Greifeld.
