17 Sep Reliving the Excitement—Celebrating Our Foundation Grantees’ Olympic Success in Paris
PITTSBURGH-
As the dust settles on the thrilling 2024 Olympic Games, we find ourselves reminiscing about the unforgettable moments that defined the 10 days of track and field in Paris. The USA Track & Field Foundation is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our grantees, who took center stage in Paris, showcasing grit, perseverance, and world-class talent.
From historic performances to emotional finishes, our grantees brought home an astonishing collection of medals across multiple events, proving once again that the future of USA Track & Field is brighter than ever. The 2024 Stephen A Schwarzman Grant award medal count was 18 Gold medals, 13 Silver medals, and 7 Bronze medals, with grantees participating in breaking a world record and American records in the relays. Gabby Thomas led the way with a dominant performance in the sprints, contributing three gold medals. Among the other notable achievements by grantees, Bryce Hoppel set a new American record while finishing 4th in the men’s 800m.
These athletes not only achieved personal victories but inspired all of us with their unwavering dedication. Their medal-winning performances serve as a testament to the strength of the American track and field community and the impact of our supporters.
Whether they were racing on the track, soaring in the field, or making history in the relays, these grantees made the Olympics in Paris a time to remember. The Foundation is thrilled for these athletes as they continue to push boundaries and redefine excellence.
