03 Jul 39 USA Track & Field Foundation Grantees qualify to compete in the 2014 USATF Outdoor Championships
INDIANAPOLIS – The USA Track & Field Foundation takes great pride in giving elite athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest level. This weekend was another milestone as 39 USATF Foundation elite grantees qualified to compete in the 2014 USATF Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, California.
The USA Track & Field Foundation continues to expand its grant program as more eligible athletes qualify to receive annual support from the Foundation. Thus far in 2014, 42 emerging elite athletes were given supplemental funding for their training, travel, and medical expenses. Of those 42 Foundation grantees 39 grantees qualified to compete at Nationals. Included in that list are: Jeneva McCall, Felisha Johnson, Cory Martin, Joseph Kovacs, Kurtis Roberts, Chelsea Hayes, Tori Bowie, Stephanie Brown, Heather Kampf, Morgan Uceny, Chelsea Reilly, Maya Pressley, Inika Mcpherson, Kylie Hutson, Janice Keppler, Mary Saxer, Tori Polk, Amanda Smock, Liz Podominick, Stephanie Brown Trafton, Whitney Ashley, Britney Henry, Gwen Berry, Amanda Bingson, Kara Patterson, Kiani Profit, Manteo Mitchell, Erik Sowinski, Jeffrey Porter, Donald Cowart, Dustin Jonas, Jack Whitt, Jeffery Henderson, Ronald Taylor, Michael Hartfield, Lance Brooks, Russ Winger, Christine Spence, and Gina Lara.
“These athletes work extremely hard and we are thrilled to be able to support them on their journey,” exclaimed Executive Director Tom Jackovic.
