2024 Paris Olympic Games bound Freddie Crittenden Awarded $10,000 Adopt an Athlete Grant

PITTSBURGH-

The USATF Foundation is thrilled to announce that 110-meter hurdler Freddie Crittenden has been awarded a $10,000 Adopt an Athlete grant, thanks to the generous support of Boomerang Capital Partners. Allen Marsh recently witnessed first-hand Crittenden’s hurdling prowess at the Team USA Olympic Trials in Eugene, OR and shared his experience with his partner, Rob Jafek at Boomerang Capital Partners, and they decided that they wanted to support his journey. The grant comes at a pivotal moment as Crittenden prepares to represent the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“As we considered the Adopt an Athlete program, we hoped that we would be able to find not only an incredible athlete but also a great person with Arizona connections.  Freddie is that type of person.  We are thrilled to provide this support and be able to cheer Freddie on in his career and also in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics,” said Allen Marsh.

Crittenden has made a remarkable impact on the track, recently achieving a personal milestone by running his first sub 13 second race. At the Olympic trials, Freddie clocked a wind-legal and personal best time of 12.93 seconds, securing not only the silver medal but also the second-best time in the world while earning his place on the U.S. Olympic Team.

Crittenden’s journey to the Olympics is a testament to his dedication and hard work. His outstanding performance at the Olympic Trials and his upcoming participation in the Paris Olympics are a source of inspiration and pride for the entire track and field community.

The $10,000 grant will provide crucial support for Crittenden’s training and preparation, covering expenses such as travel, coaching, physical therapy, and equipment. This financial assistance allows Crittenden to focus on his athletic pursuits and maximize his potential on the global stage.

“Over the years, the USATF Foundation has answered the call for support that many athletes need to be able to continue chasing their dreams. As a freshly-minted Olympian, I can say without a doubt that the USATF Foundation has been monumental in affording me the chance to continue pursuing excellence. I am forever grateful that they brought me in like family and gave me their unrelenting support. Thank you USATF Foundation!” says Crittenden.
