24 Oct Paul McGowan Named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors
PITTSBURGH – Paul McGowan has been named a director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.
“Paul is committed to helping our Track & Field athletes reach their dreams and we welcome his leadership,” said Executive Director Jackovic.
McGowan has been involved in the information security business for more than 20 years. He is the CEO of OutsourceMySales, which helps emerging information security technology companies come to market.
A former captain of the swim team at the University of Notre Dame, McGowan gained immense appreciation for the sport of Track & Field as he watched two of his sons develop from high school track athletes to accomplished distance runners at Penn State.
“I am honored to join the board of a Foundation whose resources have already helped so many young athletes achieve their goals.,” McGowan said. “I’ve been able to watch over the past decade as this sport has helped instill a set of fundamental values in my own two sons and their teammates, and I’ll do everything in my power to help the USATF Foundation in bringing those values—discipline, teamwork, and a healthy competitive edge—to athletes around the country. Young athletes like them are what keep the United States at the forefront of the sport, right where it belongs.”
