Bob West Named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors

Bob West 2INDIANAPOLIS – Bob West has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.

Bob West is the Managing Director at CareWorks Tech.  He joined the company after more than 20 years in security leadership roles with financial and professional services organizations where he oversaw security strategy, audit and compliance across global teams. He is responsible for working across the company’s business divisions, customer base and partner ecosystem to grow the information security line of business.

West is a frequent speaker on the subject of information security and risk, cloud computing, mobility, and on global policy issues such as payment fraud and critical infrastructure.  He also has visibility into and advises key people that influence national legislation.  He is quoted frequently in the press including publications such as Bloomberg, Forbes, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.

West is on the board of directors for the Global Identity Foundation and on the advisory board for Authenti-App and the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC).  He has been on the board of management for the Jericho Forum, the advisory boards for the Agiliance, AirPatrol (acquired by Sysorex), CipherCloud, Intelligent ID, Securent (acquired by Cisco), TriCipher (acquired by VMWare), Trusteer (acquired by IBM), The University of Detroit Mercy’s College of Liberal Arts and Education, a member of RSA Security’s Customer Advisory Council and the ISS Customer Advisory Council.

West is extremely passionate about track and field.  He is a lifelong runner and competed on the Michigan State University cross-country team.  “I’m very excited to join the stellar group of people on the USA Track and Field Foundation board.  The Foundation has a great mission of supporting elite U.S. track and field athletes and grass roots initiatives.  I look forward to working with my fellow board members to strengthen the sport I’m passionate about,” exclaimed West.



The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging and experienced elite athletes, along with guidance on future career paths. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors, major gifts, and from generous fans of track & field.

Elite athletes are supported by the Foundation via monetary grants, career counseling (mentoring and jobs) and participation in Run With US!. Youth athletes are supported via monetary grants to youth clubs.
