Ed Plummer named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors9-22-2009INDIANAPOLIS - Ed Plummer, CEO of Harnell Capital Corp., has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today. "Ed’s long-time passion for track & field and the Olympic Games will be a source of energy for the Foundation. We are privileged to have him on our board," said Greifeld. Ed is a founding member of Harnell Capital, which in addition to investing equity capital, provides strategic, operational and guidance to mid-size manufacturing firms. In 2006, Ed initiated the management buyout of Lynz Professional Grills, a leading producer of super-premium stainless steel outdoor gas grills and outdoor kitchen accessories. Ed currently serves as Chairman of Lynz, having stepped down as CEO in 2007. He previously served as CEO and Chairman of Utilimaster Corporation and as Chairman of McGuire-Nicholas Company. Ed graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Chemical Engineering, where he competed in the pole vault. He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ed lives in Pacific Palisades, CA, with his wife Susan Schnabel and son Nick.
