Diana Pickler, an Elite Athlete Grantee BiographyDIANA PICKLER HOMETOWN: SACSHE, TX CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Champion, 2010 USA Indoor Combined Events Championships; 2009 USA Outdoor champion; 3rd at 2008 Olympic Trials; 2007 USA Outdoor runner-up; 2007 NCAA Indoor runner-up CLICK HERE FOR DIANA'S DETAILED PERFORMANCE INFORMATION. In Diana's words: "Being awarded this grant means a lot to me, I feel blessed to get this support from the USA Track and Field Foundation. Although I have a great sponsor (Asics), being awarded this grant allowed me to put in the many hours at the track that I need to be successful and continue to strive to be." I have an amazing family - my mom (Chris) and step dad (Ron), an older sister Katie, and an identical twin sister (Julie). On the other side of my family, I have my dad (Bill), step mother (Julie), two brothers (Clayton & Griffin) and a little sister (Shannon). Along with my family, I have great friends who are spread all throughout the country. My family and friends have been so incredibly supportive in my athletic dreams and have been there all along the way. I'm a Heptathlete and training for that does take much of my day, but when I am not on the track, I LOVE to cook. My sister and I have so much fun coming up with new things to make. I love to golf, spend time with friends and family, and just relaxing. I have the widest range of musical taste possible, loving every type of music from country to techno, but I do have to say my all time favorite band is Incubus. As I said, my sister and I LOVE TO COOK!! I love so many things, but if I had to pick something to eat for the rest of my life, I would have to say pizza (homemade of course). I honestly do not know for sure what I will do after my track career, but at the moment, I am studying to become certified in personal training.
