Board of Directors

bob-greifeldWelcome, and thank you for visiting the USA Track & Field Foundation website. Along with our dedicated Board of Directors, it is you, the generous fans of Track & Field, that enable the Foundation to carry on in its efforts to assist youth & emerging elite athletes to perform and function to the best of their abilities, both on and off the field.

From your generosity we have seen some amazing success stories develop over the years. Nine Elite Athlete Development Grant recipients competed on the 2008 Olympic Team, with Stephanie Brown Trafton winning the Olympic Discus Gold Medal and David Oliver claiming the Olympic Bronze Medal in the 110 Hurdles. In addition, 19 Foundation sponsored athletes were named to the 2012 London Team USA, with Keshia Baker-Kirtz taking home a gold medal in the 4 x 400 relay. 31 grantees made the 2016 Olympic team and competed in Rio de Janeiro. Highlights included Ryan Crouser’s gold medal in the shot put along with breaking the Olympic Record, Dalilah Muhammed taking gold in the 400 meter, Jeff Henderson’s gold medal in the long jump, and Tori Bowie taking home three medals: gold in 4 X 100 meter relay, silver in the 100 meter and bronze in the 200 meter. In the words of one Grant recipient, “the system works.” It sure does. Congratulations to all!

The Foundation will strive to continue to have a positive impact for generations to come. We greatly appreciate your continued support of our athletes and programs, as we look forward to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Sincerely,
Bob Greifeld, Chairman
